KL University proudly celebrates the exceptional achievement of its distinguished alumna, Jyothi Surekha Vennam, who secured two gold medals at the 24th Asian Archery Championships. This accomplishment showcases her status as one of India’s finest archery talents.

This double triumph also marks a significant personal milestone, Jyothi’s 90th international medal. Her journey from 2011 to 2025 at the Asian Archery Championships alone has earned her eight titles, including individual golds in 2015, 2021, and 2025. With a cumulative haul of 33 gold, 33 silver, and 24 bronze medals, she stands among Asia’s most decorated archers.

In the women’s team event, Jyothi, along with teammates Deepshikha and Prithika Pradeep, delivered a powerful and coordinated performance to edge out South Korea with a close 236-234 victory. Their composed execution under pressure showcased not just their excellent skills but remarkable strategic discipline. These are the qualities that define world-class athletes.

Jyothi carried the momentum into the individual competition as well, where she claimed another gold medal in a tightly contested 147-145 match against Prithika Pradeep. Her ability to transition effortlessly from team dynamics to individual focus reflects years of dedication, precision, and mental strength.

In 2017, Jyothi brought further honour to the University when she received the Arjuna Award, presented by the Hon’ble President of India at Rashtrapati Bhavan. This national recognition remains a proud and defining moment in the University’s history.

A graduate of B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering and later an MBA from KL University, one of the top universities in Vijayawada, Jyothi embodies the institution’s commitment to academic excellence blended with holistic development.
