Sometimes I look at how the world is now and just think:
damn, if you were a quiet or lonely person 10-15 years ago, you were just.. stuck like that.
No one to talk to for real, everyone busy with their own stuff, and if you weren't the "social type" - good luck getting emotional support or even just someone who actually listens. You either dumped your feelings on the wrong people or just swallowed everything and kept scrolling.
Now we've got this weird situation where tech is cold in one way, but also low-key becoming the only place some people finally get to feel heard.
